The 36th “Mahanadu” of Telugu Desam Party started today in the coastal town of Vishkhapatnam. The annual general meeting of the party was inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and Party Chief N Chandrababu Naidu.
This is the first time since the bifurcation of the state that the Telugu Desam party is holding two Mahahadus- in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The Mahanadu of Telangana was held in Hyderabad on May 24th.
Tomorrow will be the second day of Mahanadu in Visakapatnam, which will coincide with the birth anniversary of the late party founder NT Rama Rao (NTR).
As many as 24 resolutions were passed during the meeting, while the President is elected on the last day of the Mahanadu.
