Kabul: 80 people were killed and over 300 people wounded in a powerful bomb blast today near the Indian embassy. All the staff of Indian mission are reportedly safe. The blast shattered the windows of the buildings near it and a huge ballon of smoke was seen over the area which houses the presidential palace and most of the foreign embassies .
Sushma Swaraj India’s external affairs minister in a tweet said all the Indian embassy staff was safe and sound. However some of the windows of the building where the Indian embassy is located has been damaged in the blast. Meanwhile Narendra Modi, Prime Minster condemned the Kabul blast saying that terror and its supporters have to be defeated.
