The Mumabi Indian are a team which finds the third gear during crunch situations. The victory In the IPL final over the Rising Pune Supergaints got them their third title. The Final was the closest seen till date in the IPL. The total the Mumbai Indians defended was a modest 130 but the bowlers in a never say die effort, especially Micheal Johnson who got the crucial wicket of Steve Smith defended the total well.
Rising Pune Supergaints were not disgraced in defeat. The team was one of the surprise of the IPL season. The management of the team by Captain Steve Smith ably assisted by veteran Mahendra Singh Dhoni propelled the team to the final and in the prelimary stages the team had better of the exchanges between the two teams , but on the big stage the team's inexperience came through. All in all a memorable IPL season.
