With the International Court of Justice (ICJ) staying the execution of Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav, India has scored a moral victory over Pakistan. Already isolated in the region by countries like India, Bangladesh and Afganistan, it is now on a horn of dilemma. The trail of Kulbhushan Jadhav was a farce from the beginning, which Pakistan hoped with its state policy of bluff and bluster will bolster its claim of India’s interference into Baluchistan.
India on the other hand stands vindicated in its stand that the execution was against all international norms and did not adhere to the spirit of Vienna convetion. It is time to celebrate for India and time to introspect for Pakistan.
