After delivering two duds last year, Manchu Manoj is trying his luck in a mass masala movie. So this is a make or break movie from him. The box-office will decide if he is going to get the much need break as his last big hit was way back in 2010.
Set in Guntur city, this story revolves around a gutsy guy named Kanna ( Manoj Manchu) and a short tempered criminal lawyer Seshu (Sampath). Seshu is one of the influential persons in the city and is known to be very egoistic and gets irritated with slightest disturbance around him. Kanna disregards the background of any person who indulges with him.
At a birthday party, fight erupts between Kanna and Seshu , the former beats the latter. But Seshu doesn’t know who beat him. Once Seshu realizes it was Kanna who injured him, he attacks Kanna and his father (Rajendra Prasad). To add to the complication Kanna is in love with Amrutha ( Pragya Jaiswal ) who is the sister of Seshu. Rest of the Movie is about how Kanna and Seshu try to outsmart each other.
Manoj's has donned the role of a rough and tough person very well and his energy Level are very high. The highlight of his performance is the the imitation of Mohan Babu while uttering few dialogues. high-voltage action and Confrontation scenes of Manoj-Sampath are impressive.
Manoj-Pragya Jaiswal paring is quite good. Pragya looks gorgeous but performance wise she could have been better.
Sampath Raj hold the movie together with his powerful performance. His characterization, body language and diction are pleasing to watch. Rajendra Prasad has done a fine job. Kota Sinivasa Rao is alright. Rao Ramesh's Cameo does not impress. Satya and Praveen are okay in their small roles.
Guntordu is a Movie for the front Benchers.
