HYDERABAD: The Chandralok complex near Paradise Crossroads is not structurally fit according to an expert committee. The report was commissioned after a 40-year-old man died when a cement railing fell from the structure on him in December last year.
The decade-long commercial building was sealed after the incident by the Great Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC). The GHMC also set up a committee consisting of civil and structural engineers to check the site and issue a fitness certificate once it was sufficiently renovated. The Committee has said that the building does not meet the safety standards and is not structurally stable. This, despite the roof and basement having been renovated.
